Proning

🎯 Module function

Complete prone position mechanics added to Red Dead Redemption 2! This module uses **Inverse Kinematics (IK)** technology to make the character's prone movement look more natural and realistic.

🕹️ Operation Instructions

  • **W** - move forward
  • **S** - move backwards
  • **A** - Move left (when stationary)
  • **D** - Move to the right (when stationary)
  • **Press and hold the crouch button for 1.5 seconds** - Enter prone state
  • **Hold sprint + move forward** - Crawl faster (consumes stamina)
  • **Press the jump button or crouch button** - Exit the prone state

⚠️ Notes

There is currently no turning animation in the module, but animation resources exist. When moving, the character will always face the direction of the camera. Turn animations may be added in future updates if possible.

🚫 Function restrictions

  • ❌ **Cannot use weapons while prone**
  • ✅ **You can hide from the police while lying down**

📦 Installation method

  • Unzip the downloaded file
  • Move the `Proning.asi` file to the game root directory

💡 Usage suggestions

This mod is perfect for stealth gameplay and evading pursuit scenarios! Although you can't shoot while lying down, it provides a new way of covert movement, making the game experience richer.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
