Logical size bullet wound
🎯Mod Overview
This mod changes the size of all types of bullet wounds (including knife wounds) to make them smaller. In my opinion, the wounds look more realistic because when you shoot someone with a revolver, having 10% of their body covered with huge bullet holes looks unnatural (GTA meme?), so I made them smaller.
⚙️ Installation method
Drag and drop the "lml" folder into your "Red Dead Redemption 2" home directory (where RDR2.exe is located), and then start the game directly.
⚠️ Compatibility Notes
This mod is **not compatible** with the following mods:
- WhyEm's Bloodlust
- Improvements In Blood
- Cruor
Workaround: Find the "vfxbloodinfo.ymt" file in these mods and replace it with my file.
(You can also put my files further down in the LML load order)
🛠️ Custom options
If you'd like to customize the size of your body wound, I've posted a guide in the articles area on how to resize your wound.
🔮 Future Plans
- Make a comparison video to better show the difference between the module and the original version
- Looking for ways to adjust exit wounds - In this game, it would be more realistic if the textures and maps of entrance and exit wounds could be interchanged, as exit wounds are usually larger than entrance wounds, especially head shots
- Applied size and appearance consistency improvements between NPC, player and animal wounds

*Make the damage system of "Red Dead Redemption 2" more realistic and reasonable! *
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
