About this mod Machine translation
At this point in time, RDR2 has some good ghosting. One that I really like as my base is the Alonze 73, RDR 2 Alonze. So thank you for making one that I really enjoyed.
I basically used his setup and added a few that I liked. I only noticed a drop of 1-5 frames per second. I'm playing 2560x1440/1080ti/8700k@4.7hz. I also had to use the hardware for this video unbound RDR2 optimized PT1, RDR2 optimized Pt2. Previously, I was getting 40-45 fps, watching this video, I got 60+.
Install:
- My reshade installation is very weird as I can only get it to work 1 way and by installing reshade with Vulkan settings on launcher.exe and RDR2.exe
~I just selected all options for reshade during installation.
This is the only way I can get it to work. DX12 gave me a lot of minor issues with trees, but if you choose to use it, this option should be fine. I'm also convinced that reshade's installation is messed up on my terminal, not theirs or the game's lol.
- Place reshade’s .ini file into the game directory
- I have insert as my open reshade setting in mine and scroll lock as my toggle effect - not sure if it is used as default if you install my preset or if it goes with my settings.
- Just select KindaRealReshade.ini from the ingame dropdown list
Note:
If the contrast is too high, you can lower it or turn it off in the DPX settings. I feel like this isn't enough to add another download.
data:
1.00a - I reduced the redness shown on light sources with flames and the redness on faces. It does reduce the redness elsewhere, it's just more noticeable in these areas. If anyone wants to poke around and share their findings, the two setups I messed up with were Vitality and DPX.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
