John's Prologue Horse Restored
🎉 Finally finished this mod I’ve always wanted to make! This mod brings back into the game the horse that John Marston owned before the events of the main game.
✨ Module function
- **Restore Classic Mount**: Replace John's horse model in the prologue into the game.
- **Flexible Replacements**: By default, it replaces **Brindle Thoroughbred**, **Rachel** or **Old Boy**.
- **Custom Replacements**: You can replace any horse you want by renaming the mod file (YMT)!
- **Saddle Fit**: To match the saddle, switch to the second clothing variant.
🛠️ Instructions for use
The mod has all known bugs fixed and will rarely conflict with other mods! Enjoy!

🤝 Recommended matching modules
For a more complete gaming experience, I highly recommend using the following mods:
- **Scarless John Marston**: It is known that John did not have those scars before the death of the horse in the prologue, this mod can restore this.
- **Equine Texture Improvements**: A great texture improvement mod that will make this horse look *even* better.
- **Horse Overhaul Mod**: This is the best horse overhaul mod out there (just remember to load this mod before it in LML).
Hope you enjoyed this little nostalgia trip! 🐎
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
