JMFAO - John Marston Facial Animation Overhaul
🎮 **Comprehensive overhaul of John Marston’s facial animation system**
✨ Module Features
This is a complete overhaul of John Marston's facial animations, designed to give him a new look that's more in line with his appearance in Red Dead Redemption 1.
All core animations now have their own unique look that better matches various situations, rather than all expressions being variations of the same sad/tired face. Aiming, combat, normal emotions, and more have all been improved across the board.
📸 **More than what the picture shows**
There are actually many more new emoticons than shown in the pictures, but it would take too long to show the comparison of each emoticon. Again - **EVERY facial animation has been changed**.
👀 **Vivid facial movements**
Yes, **John now blinks and resumes normal facial movements**!
🎬 Design Concept
In the original game, Marston's expressions were mostly static during gameplay, so I took a lot of inspiration from various cutscenes/official screenshots to try to capture that feeling during gameplay as seamlessly as possible.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
