Improved version of the original denim vest
🎨 **A simple texture modification mod designed to improve visual consistency. **
✨ Module function
All this mod does is change the color of John's denim vest to a more gray/dark tone to match the color of the rest of his denim outfit.
🤔 Original intention of creation
I personally really like the look of the original vest, but the greenish-gold accent it has kind of ruins the whole denim look for me, since everything else is just gray, white, and blue tones.
I could have used a more faithful replica of the vest made by GuiCORLEONEx794, but it was too blue and clean/smooth for me. So I decided to make my own version and share it with anyone who might have similar ideas.
The only reason I named this mod "Improved" is so that the color of the vest is more consistent with the rest of the costume, while also looking more like its counterpart in Red Dead Redemption 1.
📝Final Notes
Also, I want to make it clear that I have no intention of competing with anyone. I just made this mod for my own personal enjoyment and wanted to share it with the public. Just in case anyone comes here and says: "But I prefer the other mod!"

💡 **Usage Tips**: If you feel like the color of the original denim vest doesn’t quite match the rest of John’s outfit, or you prefer the darker, more consistent tones in Red Dead Redemption 1, then this simple texture replacement mod is for you! It blends seamlessly into your game, improving overall look coordination without changing the core design.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
