Free Roaming Archives - Basic Completion

🗺️ Archive location

Place the archive file in:

`C:\Users\your username\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles\your ID number`

⚠️ **IMPORTANT NOTE**: Be sure to back up your own saves so they don't get overwritten!

🎮 Archive status

Interactive content

• Random encounters, stranger missions and events have been avoided
• Avoid interacting with NPCs as much as possible, so they will talk to you as if they were meeting you for the first time

(Except NPCs who are forced to interact in the main mission)

💡 **Exception**: Emerald Ranch has two NPCs still upset that their precious hats were stolen

Map exploration

• The map has been explored as much as possible
• Collect as many animal and plant illustrations as possible
• The collectible illustration is not completed
• The landmark illustration is not completed

🌄 **Special Note**: Pleasance and a trading post are automatically added to the map when exploring, but you can still draw them in the journal

Collectibles

• Easily missed items have been collected/completed at the last minute
• Stolen hats collected
• Scattered hats and masks not picked up (e.g. scarecrow hats)
• Purchasable hats, clothing and weapons are not available for purchase

🎩 **IMPORTANT NOTE**: The Classic Raccoon Hat is not available in the epilogue save. Although the NPC wearing it is still there, his hat is "different" and cannot be saved in the epilogue chapter

Animal Research

• Animal studies completed

(Except for an elusive new Austin Frog...but found in the epilogue save)

• Horse breeds and their variants have been discovered and reached intimacy level 4

(Except for some rare unfound breeds, which may only appear in the stable at the end)

Camp Status

• The camp has not been upgraded
• The requested task is not completed
• Conversations and interactions with camp members are not taking place
• Conversations and interactions between members have been avoided

This archive gives you the perfect starting point for free roaming! All base content has been completed, but most explorable content and interactive opportunities remain, allowing you to experience the game world at your own pace.
