You can now put almost any NPC in jail! If anyone bothers you, frame them, tie them up and take them alive or dead to the Sheriff's Office. No shame, no legal alarm, just petty revenge. When you target an NPC, you'll see the option to frame them.

Not only will they be thrown into a cell, but they will also be seen hanged! When you are ready for the execution, simply visit the cell and make a list of the victims to be hanged. Executions are triggered when you bring in new bounty targets. The enforcer will then wait at the gallows to execute your execution on your command.

There are pictures and videos showing the mod in action. The first video is a bit long as I included multiple examples of longer gameplay sessions, but if you just want to see the handover for one of the victims :D you can skip to 1 minute and 40 seconds. The second video shows version 2.0.0 of the mod, showing only the hanging part.

Availability depends on story progression and character:

Valentine's Day can be obtained after the "Kindness, Honesty, Snake Oil" quest.

Strawberries are obtained after the quest "Are the meek?"

"Dark Waters and Tumbleweeds" is for John only.

You can't frame law enforcers.

You can't frame a Dutch gang member.

Everyone else is attackable.

If you also want to frame and imprison children, you can use this mod with the "Kill the Children" mod.

known personality

In "Valentine's Day," the chief must enter the police station before handover. If he stands outside the door and rotates the camera 360 degrees before entering, he will bounce back into the house. (weird, but effective)

If there is an active bounty poster in the station, you must travel far enough to hand over the framed NPC.

Sometimes, the Sheriff does not respond immediately to a second surrender at the same jail. If so, just ride for a while and then come back.

If you go directly to the cell after the NPC is hanged, you will still see him there. The game only updates cells when you leave and re-enter the current town or save and load the game.
