Epilogue archive collection - minimum completion level

🎮Mod Overview

This is a carefully crafted collection of save files designed for players who want to pick up the game directly from the end of Red Dead Redemption 2. The author quickly completed Arthur's story line and deliberately retained as much branch content as possible so that John Marston would have rich game content to experience at the end.

📋 Archive content description

  • ❌ No stranger tasks have been completed (except Arthur’s exclusive tasks)
  • ✅ After completing Arthur's exclusive "Fundraising" mission, you can find Arthur's name on the Saint-Denis Monument
  • ❌ Did not hunt any legendary animals
  • ❌ Did not intentionally purchase any weapons and collected as few non-unique weapons as possible
  • ❌ No weapon customization or purchase of any accessories/upgrades
  • ❌ Did not purchase any clothing items
  • ❌ No backpacks, clothing, accessories or amulets were created
  • ❌ Eastern Legend Challenge Zero Progress
  • ✅ Collected Pearson's Scout Jacket (from Rabbit Request), Dutch's Cowboy Spurs (from Pipe Request), Rare Rolling Barrier Rifle and Owl Feather Ornament from Yuluo
  • ✅ There are illustrated entries for all animals exclusive to Guarma, but otherwise try to avoid making entries
  • ❌ No bounties have been completed (except Arthur’s exclusive ones)
  • ❌ No dinosaur bones, orchids or other collectibles found
  • ❌ Try to avoid interacting with random encounters

🗂️ Archive file structure

After downloading you will find two main folders:

**Low Honor Arthur** and **High Honor Arthur** - As the name suggests, these refer to Arthur's Honor Level in the corresponding save file

Each folder is divided into:

**Arthur** and **John** folders

  • The **John** folder contains the autosave that occurs immediately after completing the "Red Dead Redemption" mission, when you first begin the epilogue and take control of John
  • **Arthur** folder contains save files from before the mission "The Best of Us", which is Arthur's last chance to roam freely before triggering the ending

⚙️ Installation Guide

  • Select the archive file you want to use
  • Go to the `Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles\` folder
  • Drag and drop archive files into this folder
  • If prompted to overwrite existing files, click "Yes"
  • If cloud synchronization issues occur when launching the game, always select local files instead of cloud files
  • If the game automatically loads other archives, pause the game immediately, go to "Story" → "Load Game", and find the correct archive (the mission name should be "My Last Boy" or "Red Dead Redemption", which is usually displayed as automatic archive)

💡 Usage suggestions

  • If you want John to keep all of Arthur's money, have Arthur get robbed at Aberdeen Pig Farm and then come back as John to get the money
  • If you want to complete the first three Charlotte encounters as Arthur in order to unlock the fourth encounter for John (otherwise John can only complete the first two)
  • In the high-honor version, Arthur helps John escape; in the low-honor version, Arthur goes back to get the money (this will only affect one of Charles' later dialogues)

Hope this archive collection is useful to you! 🎯

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
