About this mod Machine translation
A mod that adds all 4 seasons of rdr2! Each season has custom color palettes, temperatures, sunrise/sunset times and more!
dynamic seasons
All 4 seasons added (yes...that's Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter). Each season has its own visual palette, temperatures, sunset/sunrise times, weather and what you can expect from the actual seasonal climate. There will of course be snow cover in the winter, similar to the winter events on the Red Death Line and late fall/early spring with even more snow near the mountains! Each season comes with a carefully tuned color palette, so yes...in the fall, everything has that cool orange vibe!
season
Seasons last about 10 actual (not gaming) hours and will switch between game sessions, so for example if you play for about 10 hours through 3 game sessions, when you start the game again the season will change! (Season length can be edited in the ini file.)
winter
In winter, the entire map (except New Austin) is covered in snow and temperatures are very low. Weather conditions are worse than ever and snow/blizzards can fall at any time; anywhere! Everything is also very "Greek" to set an accurate mood. The days are very short, almost 3-4 hours shorter than in summer, and the sun rises 2 hours later and sets 2 hours earlier.
autumn
The second most exciting season is undoubtedly autumn. As mentioned in the introduction, this season is characterized by a terrifying orange/yellow color palette. It doesn't have as harsh temperature conditions as winter, but obviously there's a good chance of rain or hail at this time of year. The days are also much shorter (about 2 hours) compared to summer
spring
Spring doesn't "pop" as much as others because it visually aims for a slightly lighter "yellow" mixed with green... (if that makes sense lol). The weather conditions are not that different from Vanilla, except the temperatures are a little cooler and the days are still not very long. Some of the winter snow hasn’t completely dried out yet, so you can expect more to be cleared around the mountains!
summer
Not much to say here... It's "vanilla season" and almost all parameters are left at their default values. The days are long, the temperatures are often hot, etc. The only big change is that there is a greater risk of storms than in other seasons.
Installation method
Unzip the file to the game root directory and use the mod loader to install it. The prerequisite is that you have installed the mod loader.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
