This is a wrapper DLL that forces DLAA to be enabled on DLSS-enabled games while allowing scaling and DLSS 3.1 presets to be adjusted.
With this mod, you can also overwrite the DLSS DLL, allowing you to switch DLSS versions without worrying about the DLL being overwritten by Rockstar Games Launcher.

🛠️ Installation settings
Setting up this mod is not complicated: download the ZIP file, extract its contents to the game folder, then use the DLSSTweaksConfig tool to enable the tweaks you want (usually just enable the "ForceDLAA" setting to force DLAA) - finally launch the game and the tweaks you enable will take effect when any DLSS quality level is enabled in the game.
**Detailed Installation Guide:**
- Download the "1. DLSSTweaks for RDR2" package from the files section of the module page
- Extract the contents of the ZIP file to your "Red Dead Redemption 2" folder
- Make sure that **xinput9_1_0.dll**, **dlsstweaks.ini** and **DLSSTweaksConfig.exe** files are located in the same folder as **RDR2.exe**
- Run the **DLSSTweaksConfig.exe** application to open the configuration tool, where you can modify all available adjustments
- **To force the game to use DLAA**, just change the "ForceDLAA" setting to True and save the configuration
- For Rockstar Games Launcher users, you can use the "Add DLL Override" function in the configuration tool to force RDR2 to use the updated DLSS DLL.
**Note to ScriptHook+Vulkan users**: If the game appears to switch from Vulkan to DX12 on launch, there may be an incompatibility with ScriptHook. You can use the "2. DLSSTweaks alternate loader" version in the files section as an alternative.

🎮 Instructions for use
The default dlsstweaks.ini does not make any adjustments and must be edited first - a description of each adjustment can be found in the ConfigTool and INI files.
**If you just want to force DLAA**, enabling the **ForceDLAA** option will make all DLSS levels run as DLAA, rendering at full resolution and applying DLSS.
If ForceDLAA affects performance too much, you can also adjust the scaling of existing DLSS levels to achieve slightly higher quality than normal DLSS levels.
DLSSTweaks also enable games to use an additional "Ultra Quality" DLSS preset, which you can customize to any scaling ratio by enabling the DLSSQualityLevels section and changing the UltraQuality setting.
To verify that your adjustments are taking effect, you can set OverrideDlssHud to "Force enable" to make the DLSS screen display visible, where you can check what resolution/preset is being used.

🌟 Other games supported
DLSSTweaks can also be used with most other games that support DLSS2+, with a pretty high success rate so far.
The package posted here is customized for RDR2, but feel free to check out the main DLSSTweaks page for more information on setting it up in other games, as well as links to other pre-configured DLSSTweaks versions.

⚠️ **NOTE**: Not recommended for use in online games - this method of hooking is similar to the way some game cheating tools work and is likely to be detected by most anti-cheat systems.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
