DLSS replacer
The Rockstar launcher replaces the DLSS files with their own versions every time they launch Red Dead Redemption 2. This app bypasses this problem and lets you easily use your preferred DLSS version. It continuously monitors the RDR2 process, automatically replaces DLSS files when the game starts, and restores the original DLSS files when the game exits.

⚙️Auto start function (optional)
Want RDR2 to start automatically when launching this mod?
- Open the `rdr2_location_for_auto_start.txt` file
- Provide absolute path to RDR2.exe at the end of the file
🔧 How it works
This application monitors the `RDR2.exe` process in Task Manager. Once it detects that the process has started, it immediately replaces the DLSS files in the game directory and creates a backup of the original DLSS files. Likewise, when the `RDR2.exe` process exits, it restores the original DLSS file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
