Drop Weapons
**Author:** Fredrik
---
🎮 Module function
Allows you to drop the currently held weapon to the ground by pressing a key. The default key is the Numpad Minus key on the numpad. You can change this key in the included `.ini` file. A list of available keycodes can be found here: MSDN C# Keycodes.
If you drop a weapon and leave the area causing the weapon to disappear, you can repurchase it at the Gun Shop. Note, be careful when discarding unique weapons as you won't be able to retrieve them without using cheats.
⚠️ **NOTE:** You cannot drop the fist or lasso.
⚠️ **IMPORTANT WARNING:** If you have two guns of the same type (e.g. two Schofield revolvers), both will be discarded and one will be lost and cannot be retrieved (this is an engine limitation and no workaround has been found yet). Please use at your own risk!

📦 Installation Guide
First, install the following prerequisites:
- Alexander Blade's ScriptHook (other script hooks may also be compatible)
- Community ScriptHookRDR2.NET
Then, place the **`DropEquippedWeapon.dll`** and **`DropEquippedWeapon.ini`** files into the `scripts` folder in the game directory.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
