Original author post:
Inspired by alfabravozapa's "Disable Horse Holstering", this mod disables the automatic holstering of the weapon while mounted while still keeping the entire horse holstering system intact. When mounted while carrying any pole weapon, Arthur/John will automatically retract it after approximately 10-15 seconds. With this mod, that's different! However, this does not disable the manual carbine holster, which means that if you press the Tab key or just holster the weapon via the weapon wheel, Arthur/Jonh will place it into the carbine holster slot exactly like the original.
This mod has no limitations and it is very lightweight so it is compatible with all existing weapon mods.
Requirements: Script Hook RDR2 (script hook)
Installation: Unzip and place "NoHolstering.asi" into the game root directory

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
