Module introduction
This mod restores the dense forest look of the tall tree areas in Red Dead Redemption 2 to the pre-release version! For some reason, Rockstar cut down the density of redwood trees before the game's release, possibly due to console performance limitations. Now you can experience a truly dense forest environment, making the Tall Trees area live up to its name!
Installation instructions 📦
- Drag and drop the "Dense Tall Trees" folder into your lml folder
- Start the game to enjoy the lush forest landscape
Recommended matching modules 🔗
- **Beta Douglas Fir Trees**: Replaced the original Douglas Fir trees with a denser version from the pre-release version, matching the tall tree areas perfectly
- **Beta Redwood Textures**: Restore the old textures used by redwood trees for a more complete pre-release experience
Known issues ⚠️
Since this is a model replacement mod, the collision detection of some trees may be a little weird. Thanks to Suika for making a fixed version that solves this problem by adding leaves to the default trees instead of replacing the model entirely. I kept the original version as an option as the default model felt a bit small to me.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
