The Cowhand Fix
🐎 Function description
Fixed a bug in the endgame chapter of Red Dead Redemption 2 where when the "Cowboy" costume was stored on a horse, the costume could not actually be selected or replaced from the horse. However, when checking the wardrobe, the game still shows that the costume has been stored on the horse.
🔧 Repair principle
The fix for this problem is easier than imagined. Just need to add an entry for the cowboy outfit in the `quickselectitems.ymt` file, as apparently it doesn't have one originally, which prevents it from appearing in the horse's quick select menu.
⚙️ Installation method
- Place the "cowhandFix" folder into your "/Red Dead Redemption 2/lml/" directory
📋 System Requirements
- Lenny's Mod Loader
⚠️ Compatibility Notes
If this mod conflicts with another mod that introduces new clothing and adds an entry for it in `quickselectitems.ymt`, you only need to add the following entry in that YMT file. Please make sure the "SortOrder" value is not used by other mods and change it if necessary:
```xml
OUTFITS
```

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
