Dead Eye Activation Cooldown Remastered 1.1
I always wanted to make Red Dead Redemption 2 more challenging. Death's Eye has always been an issue in terms of game balance, and this mod simply adds a cooldown after use to prevent players from abusing it.

Dead Eye Activation Cool Down Reloaded
🎯 Function Overview
This mod adds a cooldown mechanism to the Dead Eye ability in Red Dead Redemption 2, making the gaming experience more balanced and challenging.
⚙️ How it works
- After turning off Death Eye, the core icon will be replaced by a red spiral icon, indicating that Death Eye is cooling down
- During the cooldown period, the character will appear unfocused and distracted
- Cooldown is **10 seconds** but will be adjusted based on core level:
- **50% Core**: Cooldown extended to **15 seconds**
- **0% Core**: Cooldown extended to **20 seconds**
- The cooldown effect can be temporarily removed by **fortifying** the Death Eye core (golden Death Eye icon, not the surrounding ring) through food items
- Dead Eye does not go on cooldown if you are not firing (this is by design)
🔄Mod background
This version was rewritten from scratch, as the original version of the mod was severely broken and outdated.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
