Corrupt Law - Frame and Jail NPCs

🎮 **You can now send almost any NPC you see to jail! **

If someone pisses you off, you can frame them, tie them up, and send them to the Sheriff's Office dead or alive. No loss of honor, no legal alert, just a small revenge. When you target an NPC, you'll see the option to frame them.

🏛️ Available Sheriff’s Offices & Police Departments

Available at all Sheriff's Offices and Police Departments!

  • Valentine
  • Strawberry
  • Saint Denis
  • Rhodes
  • Annesburg
  • Blackwater
  • Tumbleweed

Availability depends on story progression and character:

  • **Valentine** Available after the mission "Good, Honest, Snake Oil".
  • **Strawberry** Available after the mission "Blessed Are the Meek?"
  • **Blackwater** and **Tumbleweed** are only available to John.

⚠️ Function restrictions

  • You cannot frame a law enforcement officer falsely.
  • You cannot frame members of the Dutch gang.
  • Everyone else is fair game.
  • If you also want to frame and imprison children, you can use the Kill Children module.

🔧 Known precautions

  • In Valentine, the Sheriff must be **indoors** to conduct a handover. If he happens to be standing outside the door, rotate the camera 360 degrees before entering and he will come back inside. (a little weird, but effective)
  • If there is an **active bounty poster** in the police station, you must keep a sufficient distance when handing over the framed NPC.
  • Sometimes, when there is a **second** immediate handover at the same police station, the sergeant does not respond immediately. If this happens, just ride away for a while and come back.

  • Place the **CorruptLaw.asi** file next to RDR2.exe.

🗑️ Uninstall method

  • Remove the CorruptLaw.asi file from the game folder.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
