Chapter 5 Full Gold and High Honor Archive - Minimalist Series
🎮 **Welcome! ** This is a clean archive collection created for the PC Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption.
✨ Archived content
- **All Gold Medal Clearance**: **Every mission** including Chapter 5 has received a gold medal rating!
- **High Honor Value**: High honor is maintained throughout the game.
- **Gold medals for the first four chapters**: Not only that, all the tasks from Chapter 1 to Chapter 4 are also **gold medals**!
- **Index file**: I have attached a text file that clearly explains which task each archive corresponds to, so that you can quickly find the progress you want.
🏜️ What does "minimalist" mean?
The so-called "minimalist" means that I **deliberately avoided almost all non-mainline content**, leaving you with an almost untouched game world full of possibilities!
**Things I intentionally didn’t do include:**
- 🚫 **Almost all random events avoided** (although the game log says I encountered them 3 times...).
- 🚫 **No Stranger quests have been completed** unless they are required to trigger subsequent main quests (e.g. "We Loved and True" and "Good, Honest, Snake Oil").
- 🚫 **No Hunting**, which means your backpack is not upgraded at all.
- 🚫 **Have never even met the Trapper**, let alone sold him anything. No clothing was purchased either.
- 🚫 **Animal illustrations are almost blank**, with only a few exceptions, such as deer, stags and animals unique to Guarma Island.
- 🚫 **Didn’t buy any guns**, only used weapons I got for free or found (but I fully upgraded the few I had).
- 🚫 **NO CHALLENGE DONE**.
- 🚫 **Didn’t pick up a single gold bar or any miscellaneous loot**.
**I did these things:**
- ✅ **Guarma Island Animal Illustrated Book**: Since Guarma Island in Chapter 5 is usually impossible to return to, I deliberately recorded information about all the unique animals on the island.
- ✅ **Collect supplies**: Collect almost all the aged pirate rum, ginseng tincture and valerian root in the early chapters, so that Arthur will not be too "weak" - playing with only a few bars of stamina is too torturous.
- ✅ **Camp Base Upgrade**: Mainly upgraded the camp’s rations, medical supplies, armory, tents (for fast travel), stables and chicken coops. **But no decorations** were added, like a snakeskin banjo or something.
- ✅ **Mount**: Starting from Chapter 3, I used the **Brindle Arabian Horse** (a second-class Arabian horse anyway) found in the mountains near Wapiti.
- ⚠️ **Mild spoiler warning**:
-Picked up the **Carcano Rifle** during the companion mission with the uncle.
- Picked up the **Mauser Pistol** during the mission "Revenge is a dish best eaten cold" in Chapter 4.
- ✅ **EARLY CAPITAL**: Instead of searching for treasure, I built up my capital early by hijacking passenger trains multiple times and driving them to the Ambarino Tunnels (this makes money fast and doesn't increase the bounty, look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about).
💎 Archive Reliability
I want to emphasize that **these archive files are not corrupt**. If anyone is experiencing save corruption and can't find another reason, please let me know!
🤔 Finally
I'll add it later if I remember more details that might be relevant. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for using it!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
