Chapter 3 Save Ultimate Edition
Hello everyone! I made another archive to share with you! 🎮
After playing through Red Dead Redemption 2 multiple times, each time having to replay the entire second chapter to unlock various features, weapons, and costumes, I decided to make and share a save of Chapter 3 with a few extra bonuses thrown in.
(This archive does not contain the Limpany Treasure Map, nor the Ardennes War Horse).
✨ Archive Highlights
- **Ultimate Edition Content**: I used the Ultimate Edition of the game, so the archive contains the Nuevo Paraiso set, but not the Thoroughbreds or the additional bank robbery missions.
- **Perfect Start**: You will start the game in Clemens Cove, with all Prologue and Chapter 2 missions completed with a Gold rating, meeting all requirements.
- **Pure Chapter 3**: I haven't done any Chapter 3 quests yet; however, I have met a few strangers and completed some random world events.
🏕️Camp Request
Arthur has unlocked various camp requests, waiting to be found and delivered:
- 💰 Abigail’s $5 (to buy Jack new clothes)
- 💈 Bill’s Hair Oil
- 🍶 Charles' Moonshine (used to make Fire Arrows)
- 🚬 Dutch's pipe
- 📖 Hosea’s Crime Novels
- 📚 Jack’s Storybook
- 🧵 Jack’s thimble (give to Abigail)
- 🌿 Javier's Oleander (used to make poison arrows)
- ✒️ Mary-Beth's fountain pen
- 🐇 Pearson’s rabbit (for stew)
- 🧭 Pearson's Nautical Compass
- 🥃 Sean's Whiskey (used to make Molotov cocktails)
- 🌿 Susan’s Flavored Herbs
**TIP**: I found that there is only a maximum of 10 simultaneous requests in the activity log. To get a new request, you must deliver an item and claim the reward.
🦌 Hunting and Exploration
To pass the time triggering various requests, I've:
- Hunted a perfect pronghorn and two perfect deer and donated the carcasses of both to Pearson.
- Completed the following random events during Chapter 2 (try to avoid side content):
*Rescued the male prisoner from the cage on the transport wagon and obtained information on the moonshine stash in Strawberry Town.
*Rescued the female prisoner from the cage of the transport wagon and obtained information on the Watson Lodge hiding place.
- Rescue a woman from a perverted kidnapper.
*Rescuing the woman from the Murfrees' carriage.
*Rescued Uncle from Valentine's Side Bar Brawl.
- Received a leaflet from Mr. Downes at Valentine.
- Received information from Dr. Valentine on the O'Drisco gang's hideout from Tilly.
- Interacted with Mickey once or twice in Valentine.
- Interacted with the shipwrecked man holding an illegible letter on the south bank of Vlatnik Station.
🎁 Other benefits
- **Full collection of clothing**: Purchased all store clothing (including those unlocked by honor points) and all store clothing (hats, shirts, shoes, vests, accessories, etc.).
- **Secret Collection**: Found all "secret" hats (hats that can be found or stolen on the map), including those that can only be obtained with John, and "secret" masks (heathen, ram skull, pig).
- **Melee Weapons**: Found all the melee weapons (special knives and hatchets) scattered around the map, except for the Ornate Dagger (which I don't want to take away from you guys because it's a fun way to get it) and the Obsidian Dagger (obtained after finding all the dinosaur bones, I've found a few).
- **Dual Wielding Weapons**: Dual wielded the Cowboy Revolver, Volcano Pistol and Short Double Barrel Shotgun. The Schofield Revolver and Double Action Revolver are unlocked but not dual-wielded, as the second of each can be obtained by doing shop and farm robberies.
- **Treasure Map**: Obtained the High Stakes, Poison Trail, Fortune Landmark, and Jack Hall Gang treasure maps. The Hermit Treasure Map and the Frozen Couple Treasure Map are left for you to discover on your own (the Hermit Map will lead you to a special gun that you need to get with John, or get …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
