Center the horse's perspective

Center the horse's perspective

Center horse perspective

🐎 Features

This mod solves the problem with the original horse perspective! In the original perspective, the horse's running animation always looks weird, as if it is running sideways and unbalanced. This mod gives you a better view of the road ahead by centering the horse's perspective.

The viewing angle is slightly elevated so that you and the horse don't block the view ahead. The original module's viewing angle height was not suitable for a centered viewing angle, causing players and horses to often block the view of the road.

🎮Using experience

The horse riding experience has been greatly improved! Now you can see the scenery and road ahead more clearly, without being bothered by weird sideways viewing angles. Viewing adjustments make riding more smooth and natural.

⚠️ Known issues

There is a small bug in the mission to raid Bronte Manor, specifically in the part where you need to shoot the manor's back door to enter. But don’t worry, just wait for John to open the door for you!

This is just a minor issue with the original mod and cannot be fixed at this time.

📦 Installation method

Just put the CenteredHorseCam folder into the lml folder

❌ Compatibility Notes

Not compatible with any mod that edits cameras.ymt files

🙏 Thanks

This module is a modified version of Kitool's Better Camera module, specifically including a merged version of the No Black Bars and No Kill Cam Filter functions.

At the same time, Riyusso's horse perspective centering bug fix has been added. This fix disables the sudden perspective pull when moving the mouse on horseback, making your operation smoother.

Thanks to both authors for their contributions!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
