Celalalt shades of gray
🌟Module introduction
This is my personal enhanced version of the already beautiful scenery in Red Dead Redemption 2. After trying more than a dozen presets/mods that claimed to be super photorealistic enhancements, I found that none of them were to my taste, were over-sharpened, over-saturated, had color casts, or simply didn’t look like what was shown in the pictures/videos. So I decided to edit Rokke's Reshade and create my own version.
🎨 Two variations
- **Shades of Gray**: A more realistic version that maintains the original style while providing clearer visuals
- **HDR Director's Cut**: Pseudo HDR effect only for SDR monitors, colors are more saturated and prominent
⚙️ Installation Guide
- Download ReShade
- Install for Vulkan/Dx12 and select My preset to automatically install the necessary packages, or manually select: SweetFX by CeeJay, qUINT by Marty McFly, Color effect by prod80, AstrayFX by BlueSkyDefender, Legacy Effects
- Start the game
- If the preset does not automatically enable, follow the on-screen ReShade prompts
🔧 Advanced settings
For a better user experience, it is recommended to edit the ReShade.ini file in the main game folder and add the following configuration in the [INPUT] section:
```
[INPUT]
ForceShortcutModifiers=1
GamepadNavigation=1
InputProcessing=2
KeyEffects=107,0,0,0
KeyNextPreset=106,0,0,0
KeyOverlay=109,0,0,0
KeyPerformanceMode=0,0,0,0
KeyPreviousPreset=111,0,0,0
KeyReload=0,0,0,0
KeyScreenshot=44,0,0,0
```
This setup avoids hotkey conflicts with the Rockstar Launcher and allows you to use the keypad buttons to control ReShade functionality.

💡 Usage suggestions
It is recommended to use Lagom's LCD monitor calibration to get the full potential of your monitor, and use the sRGB_IEC61966-2-1_no_black_scaling.icc color profile for best results.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
