Campolina - Horse Breeds

🐎 Introduction

Hello everyone! This time I have a big surprise for you! Prepare a strong, tall and impressive horse for your western adventure: the Campolina horse, very popular in South America and the absolute national symbol of Brazil.

This horse stands out with its large, protruding ears and long, curved head, reminiscent of the Kladruber horse. I referenced its body structure, as well as the characteristics of the Mustang and Missouri horses, the latter being my main reference.

Since Campolina horses can come in almost every color, I made many different coat colors, including buckskin, piebald, etc. Just like my previous Saddlebred mod, you'll find 4 mane styles: regular mane, tousled mane, braided mane, and loose mane. If you notice something odd in loose manes, it's because they are a mix of loose and tousled manes, what we might call "loose braids." Finally, you should know that there are some color variations in painted manes, as bi/tri-color split regular styles are not supported in tousled manes. Make sure to choose a mane style for each coat color!

Having said all that, I hope you enjoy my Campolina horses and give them a try!

⚙️ Installation requirements

  • Lenny's Mod Loader

-Asi Loader (dll version)

  • AB's Scripthook
  • Rampage Trainer

📦 Installation Guide

  • Start by installing the required script mods above and select the appropriate version of each mod based on your version of the game. You can find them and their installation guides here, but typically you'll need to unzip the ABS (or other scripthook), Asi Loader dll files, and other folders into your game's main root directory.
  • Go into your RDR2 game directory, find the .exe and launcher, and create a new folder called LML.
  • Click on the LML folder and once inside create another folder called Stream where you will place all YMT and YTD files. Just drag them all over here.
  • Launch the game and if everything is fine you will see a loading bar and finally you will be able to summon your new horse via Rampage Trainer >> Spawner >> Peds >> Horses.
  • If your horses are not visible, something is wrong: maybe their textures are incompatible with the script version, or you placed another mod that changes some textures, or maybe there is a conflict between mods' textures. My advice is: don't place texture YTD files with the same name unless they are provided by the same author, as some YTMs can share their textures without problems, but most of the time, like the Gray Kentucky Horse from the Improved Kentucky Saddlers Mod, it is able to share +45 texture files with the Buttermilk Buckskin color from the same modder. If they are from different authors, they are most likely incompatible.
  • If you want to replace a different horse in the game, rename the YTM file to the name of the horse you want to replace. There is a guide out there that lists all the correct names to choose from, but you can also use the list below which contains the codes for all horse breeds. For example, if you want to replace the American piebald gray Overo horse, copy and paste the original ymt file, then rename the horse file so you will see the new horse breed in the game instead of the old gray Overo horse.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
