caliber module

🎯 Module introduction

Let's face it - the improved iron sights in the game are useless! They're neither historically accurate nor good-looking, and offer no real improvements to gun performance, despite changes to the in-game status bar display. Have you ever wished that that component slot could be used to install something really useful?

This is the problem that the "Caliber" module is meant to solve! It completely replaces the iron sight component category with a completely new caliber system. Each gun now comes with two different caliber or charge options, which can significantly impact weapon performance, sometimes drastically.

✨ Main features

  • **Full Weapon Coverage**: Works with all firearms including Navy Revolvers and Elephant Rifles
  • **Scope Liberation**: All scopes can now be used with almost all repeating rifles and rifles
  • **Short Barrel Enhancement**: Short barrel now provides a 10% fire rate bonus, making the choice of long and short barrels more tactically meaningful
  • **Dynamic Balance**: Long barrel still maintains 10% range bonus, but is no longer the only option
📝 NOTE: The in-game status bar will not show these changes as they are just static elements

🔧 Installation instructions

Simply drag and drop the "lml" folder into your home directory to complete the installation.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
