🎯 Module function
This mod brings a fully expanded and enhanced experience to Red Dead Redemption 2’s bounty hunting system! New random events, improved AI enemies, a wanted carriage system and more exciting content have been added.
⚙️ Installation instructions
- Install the original mod first (copy the *BountiesExpansion.asi* file and *BountiesExpansion* folder to the game root directory)
- Download and install AB's ScripthookRDR2
- Make sure Version.dll or Online content unlocker is installed
- Copy the translation files from the compressed package to the *BountiesExpansion* folder. See the detailed instructions in the compressed package.
🎮 Gameplay
- Go to the new wanted poster location shown on the map
- Collect wanted posters
- Go to destination
- Capture target
- Deliver the target to the town police station and collect the bounty
🌟 Random events
The module contains a variety of random events to make bounty hunting more vivid:
- Competing bounty hunters appear in the city and they will compete with you for wanted posters
- If you let a competitor take the wanted poster, they may track your target (and ambush you along the way)
- Capture the target alive and you will see them publicly executed in the town a few days later
- Encounter bounty hunters with captured targets in the wilderness, you can steal the targets and get the bounty
🚛 Wanted Criminal Transport Carriage
You can purchase and customize bounty carriages at the Stables:
- Go to any stable and a new marker will appear on the map
- Approach the marker and activate the menu to purchase, repair and customize your carriage
- Interact with your horse and select the "Call Carriage" option
- Your bounty carriage will appear at a location near you
- After capturing the target alive, walk to the back of the carriage and follow the prompts to load the target.
- Send a carriage full of prisoners to the police station and deliver multiple targets at once
- NOTE: If the carriage is damaged it needs to be repaired. Can be repaired at the stable or manually by approaching the carriage empty-handed and activating the special prompt
🤖 Enhanced enemy AI
Compared to earlier versions of the module, enemy AI has been significantly improved:
- It's harder for enemies to spot you when using silent weapons, walking while crouching, or hiding in grass
- The enemy's hearing and vision are affected by the environment: weather conditions, time and other factors
- Enemies can now be lured to other locations. Whistling or shooting arrows/throwing knives near them can attract attention
- Tethered targets will attempt to free themselves. If they are injured, they are less likely to escape
- You can hit them on horseback to prevent them from escaping
🎪 Extra features
- Any gang member can be delivered alive at all police stations to receive rewards
- Wanted posters are available across the map, including post offices
- All tasks are automatically generated, including target name, task location, task difficulty, etc.
- Wanted posters look and feel the same as the original game mechanics, with original animations and user interface
- Law enforcement officers and passersby will react to your escort and greet you
- Mission rallies appear before arriving at a location, allowing you to shoot targets from a distance or plan a stealth attack
- Added Annesburg and dozens of new mission locations
- Bounties vary based on city wealth and bounty requirements
- Higher bounties are prepared for targets far away from the city

*Enjoy an enhanced bounty hunting experience! *
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
