Better Forearm Merge

🎯 Module introduction

Due to file conflicts between the Better Forearm and Compressed Weapon Textures Upscale mods, I made this quick merge version. Basically I remade/copied the modifications from the Better Forearm mod into a higher resolution compressed weapon texture HD mod.

📦 Installation requirements

First you need:

  • Compressed Weapon Textures Upscale by WickedHorseMan

Please follow the installation instructions for that mod and make sure you have the original Weapon Texture Upscale mod installed before installing the compressed version.

⚡ Installation steps

  • Unzip and drag the files into your lml folder
  • Select Overwrite when prompted
  • Please support the original mod authors: Better Forearm and Compressed Weapon Textures Upscale by WickedHorseMan

Other mods used in screenshots:

  • QoL - Artie and Johnny - A vanilla-friendly overhaul of John
  • The Classic Cowboy - RDR1 Precision Cowboy Outfit - Completely Transformed Denim Outfit
  • John Marston Classic Stubble - Add stubble for John that is more in line with RDR1 design
  • Extended Player Animations - Fixed and improved various in-game animations for Arthur/John and NPCs
  • Realistic Gun Metals - Comprehensive transformation of all gun metal materials in the game to make them more realistic
  • Actually Long Long Barrels - Shotguns - Made the long barrel variant the length it actually is for sale
  • DLSSTweaks - Reduce TAA blurring by forcing DLAA to replace DLSS DLLs without overwriting game files

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
