Beta Guarma Restoration Project 1.1
🏝️Mod Overview
A complete Guarma remaster faithful to the original setting, designed to enhance and update the Guarma experience with new activities, map details, strangers and locations, inspired by what was already known about the island during its pre-release phase. Now almost completely remastered and remastered from the ground up.

🗺️ Map and location renaming
Guarma has been renamed Guama, and its location names have been changed to those from pre-release resources. These changes are global and apply to every instance in the game: maps, item names, Pokédex descriptions, location hints, progress menu text, etc.
- **Guarma → Guama**
- **La Capilla → The Monastery**
- **Lower Aguasdulces → La Vilaj**
- **El Hueco's Beta Location → El Hueco**
In addition, El Nido, Manicato, Campamento Rebelde, and Las Tierras Lejanas (the name we gave to the vast tracts of inaccessible land on Guarma) are now marked on the map.
📜 Physical map
Players now automatically have a readable physical map of Guarma, containing the same modifications as the main map, as well as some additional content added to be consistent with the game continent.
🏪 Aguasdulces Commercial Facilities
Aguasdulces now has commercial facilities (inaccessible) as intended in the beta, which helps increase its credibility as a settlement. Including a salon, a grocery store, a hotel, and a doctor's office, these are marked as blips on the main map, just like other commercial facilities in the game, and have a fully decorated appearance.
- There are always drunk people outside the salon
- There are armed guards outside the grocery store at all times (requires Nuevo Paraiso ped XMLs installed)
💰 Treasure location
There are now five treasure chests waiting to be discovered throughout Guarma, containing gold and other valuables. If you can find any treasure chests and bring the contents back to the mainland, they can be sold on the black market for a high price. Don't like searching? Check the physical map for their approximate locations.
🕳️ Catacombs
In the final version of the game, the catacombs, the collisionless, inaccessible box beneath the monastery, has now been opened up on the surface, retextured, collision added, and decorated, turning it into a functional cave.
🚧 Redesigned borders
Thanks to the required mod No Out Of Bounds Snipers, invisible snipers on Guarma no longer prevent you from entering Aguasdulces, and players are free to explore all of Guarma, including unfinished parts, but this creates problems. This problem is solved by carefully placing over a hundred continuous invisible walls across the map, placed in areas where it starts to become unplayable. You can see these new borders on the physical map.
🎯 Other minimap changes
- La Vilaj now has hitching posts available
- Guarma's coast is littered with shipwrecks
- A deserted campsite consisting of several tents can be found beneath El Hueco, a recreation of a scene never used in the game files
👨⚕️ Dr Higgins and the Tomb Raiders (optional content)
(requires Nuevo Paraiso mod)
Dr Higgins, a deleted side-quest character, can now smoke outside his designated accommodation in La Vilaj, near the monastery where you are said to find him. You can interact with him and he will respond with a previously unused voice line. A small group of graverobbers from his side quest can also be found hanging out in the woods near the monastery.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
