Basic Needs Final Cut - Russian Translation
🎯 Latest version
This is the final major update to the Basic Needs mod, adding a host of new mechanics, changes, and fixes. It is highly recommended to read the full description to learn about all the new changes, we hope you will enjoy it!
🍖 Basic needs system
This module adds 5 new survival indicators: hunger, thirst, urination, equipment weight and fatigue. Each indicator can be turned off individually or configured to personal preference.
🎮 Survival Menu User Guide
To use the new user operation functions of the module (drinking/replenishing water bags, urinating, etc.), you need to open the survival menu: **Long press the aiming key (left trigger of the controller or right mouse button)**, and then press the **Survival Menu** as prompted on the screen. This new system replaces the old menu!
**Note**: Unfortunately the original author did not provide an option to translate the "Survival Menu" button text, tried to find a solution but failed. I recently contacted the original author and confirmed that it cannot be changed. "Survival Menu" is the only text that remains in English, the rest is perfectly translated.
⚙️ Detailed explanation of working mechanism
🍗 Hunger
Hunger is the simplest mechanism in the mod, and the consumption rate can be set through the .ini file. Replenish the indicator by eating, and you will be punished when the indicator drops to zero. The latest version solves almost all "autofill" or "no fill" issues! Hunger wears off faster on cold streets.
💧 Thirst level
The thirst mechanism is more obvious, and the consumption speed can also be set through .ini. You can replenish by drinking from a water source or from a hydration bag. You can also set alcohol to both quench your thirst and cause dehydration! The latest version allows you to drink from a hydration bottle while walking or even riding a horse.
When you enter a water source and activate the survival menu, 3 options will appear:
- **Face Wash** - Mainly used for immersion and increasing external endurance reserves
- **Drinking** - Allows the character to drink directly from a water source to quench their thirst
- **Hydration Refill** - Fill your hydration bottle, the amount is shown in the HUD element in the lower left corner
Your water bag is enough for 4 drinks, one less for each use. **New animation effects added! **
🚽 Urination
The micturition mechanism is similar to the other two indicators. You replenish it by...yep, you guessed it...pee. To urinate or refill your water bag, you need to enable the survival function menu. Two options will appear when you do this. With the latest update, the more you drink, the faster the indicator is depleted! The color of the main logo will indicate this.
🎒 Equipment weight
A new HUD widget shows how much equipment weight weighs on you. This hinders running with two-handed weapons, as it negatively affects stamina, hunger, and thirst. Each type of weapon has a different load capacity, which can be modified in the ini. This also applies to clothing, as long coats often reduce mobility in real life. The new mechanics presented in Indicators add a new level of preparation to any combat encounter.
😴 Fatigue/Sleep Needs
Highly inspired by crossed99's sleep deprivation mod. The indicator decreases slowly, taking into account the current time and stamina-consuming activities. To increase it, simply sleep or use the daytime sleep system that was recently added to the rest menu. When you sit down by pressing the E or Y key in regular gameplay, a new "sleep" prompt appears, allowing you to sleep for the desired amount of time. The duration of daytime sleep is a key factor in determining how quickly you recover from fatigue. When the core is depleted, Arthur or John will collapse and become unconscious for several hours until their strength is restored.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
