Bakou’s RDR1 Gear – Classic John Marston Accessories
🎯 Module introduction
This mod aims to breathe new life into John's gear, through texture and model editing to match the classic design of RDR1. While maintaining the consistency of other visual elements of the game, these edits will be seamlessly integrated into the game, bringing a fresh feel to RDR1 fans.
🔫 Current functions
📸
- **New Holster System**: John has a new gun belt and holster, as well as functional leg straps, which perfectly restores the classic shape. Combining some elements of RDR1's gun belt and Arthur's holster to enhance the immersion of the "American Venom" mission - John draws the gun from the salvaged Arthur's holster.
📸
- **Classic Ammo Belt**: The ammo belt has been replaced with a replica of the RDR1 Wolf Belt, which fits the original pants model. The buckle sculpting was done entirely by Buetsome, creator of the Legend Of The West John face mod.
📸
- **Iconic Hat**: Hat details have been adjusted to reflect the original game design, and the iconic scratched decoration has been restored.
📸
- **NPC Gambler Hat Replacement**: John's NPC Gambler Hat has been replaced with a new version of the cleaned up RDR1 hat, connecting its 1899 and 1907 appearances.
🚀 Planning function
- RDR1 gloves
- RDR1 style bullet belt
- Use the new belt model in the Motherhood set scene (not part of the mod at the moment, still the original asset in the locker)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
