Arthur's Tan Hat

🎩 **Change Arthur's hat to tan/brown for a classic cowboy feel! **

✨ Module introduction

This mod aims to provide a cosmetic tweak to Red Dead Redemption 2's protagonist Arthur Morgan, changing his iconic hat from its original color to a more classic tan or brown. This tone is more evocative of the image of the traditional Western cowboy, adding a touch of nostalgia and authenticity to your gaming experience.

**Note:** This is an ongoing project. The author states that he has managed to make the hat look a lot better, but for some reason it can appear a bit strangely shiny in certain lighting.

🔄 Future Plans

The author has plans to make more variants, but that may require more work to make sure they look good enough. While waiting, the author recommended another version fixed by a community member, you can check it out!

🎮 Usage suggestions

  • If you're tired of the default look of Arthur's hat, this mod offers a simple yet effective change.
  • The tan hat goes well with many of the desert and grassland environments in the game, blending in better with the western scenery.
  • Since it is an appearance modification module, it is usually more compatible with other modules, but it is recommended to back up related files before installation.

Put on this tan hat, get on horseback and experience the most authentic western adventure! 🤠

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
