🗺️ Features
This mod shows nearby huntable animals on your map! Icons are color-coded according to animal quality, allowing you to identify quality prey at a glance.
You can customize the types of animals you want to display and set quality filters for each animal, category, or group. All settings will be saved in the file system and will not be lost even if you restart the game!

🎮 In-game menu
Press the **F8** key in-game to open the configuration menu overlay. Use the keypad arrow keys to navigate the menu and press **Num5** to cycle through the filter options. Changes to settings are automatically saved to disk.
**Default key bindings:**
- F8 / Ctrl+8 = Open UI/Return/Close UI
- Num5 / Ctrl+Enter = Loop quality filter
- Num0 / Ctrl+Backspace = Return/Close UI
- Num8 / Ctrl+↑ = Move up
- Num2 / Ctrl+↓ = Move down
- Num4 / Ctrl+← = Close submenu/Close UI
- Num6 / Ctrl+→ = Open submenu/Loop quality filter
When loading the mod for the first time, the animal filter will be set to "Perfect quality only"
🌍 Multi-language support
The module supports display in multiple languages. Currently available languages include:
- English (default)
- German
- Chinese
- Russian (classification translation missing)
- Korean (classification translation missing)

⚙️ Configuration instructions
In the AnimalTracker subfolder, you can find the AnimalTracker.ini configuration file. Starting from version 1.2.0, the language file path becomes optional and the mod will automatically detect the language from the game settings and select the corresponding translation file.
You can also set the mod's logging level: to a stricter value if you're concerned about performance issues, or to a more lenient value if you encounter unexpected behavior. The default log level is **fully sufficient** and will only create log messages if **unexpected** situations occur.
📥 Installation method
Download the zip file and extract it to the Red Dead Redemption 2 root folder, or install using the Vortex Mod Manager.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
