✨ Mod origin
This mod is built on **Project Schofield** and is the second preset I've made. Previous versions had some issues: color correction caused the game's colors to distort, the halo effect was too strong, and the picture looked too saturated. **American Viper** fixes all the above issues, removes halos, corrects color correction, and reduces saturation.
🖼️Visual experience
With this mod installed, you'll experience how the game depicts its themes with greater depth: death, loss, resistance to change, families torn apart by greed, and more. Specific visual changes include:
- **Darker Blood**: Makes violent scenes more impactful.
- **Better black scene performance**: Blacks are deeper and details are clearer.
- **Better Sharpening**: Bring out more unnoticed environmental details.
- **Colder and rougher lighting**: When light interacts with the environment, it creates a colder, primitive atmosphere.
💡 Usage suggestions
This visual preset is perfect for players who want to immerse themselves in the heavy, fatalistic story of Red Dead Redemption 2. It heightens the narrative tension of the game, allowing you to feel the core emotion of the story in every sunset and shadow.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
