American Saddle Horse Breeds
🐎Module introduction
I know, I know, there was already a nice update on the saddle horse model, but I continued to develop the breed after that because I didn't want to cancel my project over it. After all there are now two Friesian models, and possibly even other horse breeds in two different body types, it's nice to be able to choose which version you like best.
This is the saddle horse breed I made that should have been in the game instead of the Turkmen horse that still doesn't exist.
✨ Creative process
I based the body structure of the Arabian horse on, blending the characteristics of the Turkmen, Morgan, Thoroughbred, and Tennessee Walking Horses to create its unique "royal" appearance. This was my second attempt at making it, the first one didn't turn out so well, I deleted all the files and started over from scratch a month or two later...it was frustrating but in the end it was done and I'm happy with the result and hope you guys like it too.
🎨 Coat color selection
Only 9 coat colors? Yes, there are only 9 types. I would rather release a small but meaningful number of skins that are representative of the coat colors of the breed itself, rather than making a ton of repetitive coat colors. If you are interested in a specific coat color, I can consider making more, but it will depend on demand. Saddlebreds can come in a variety of colors, but the most common are sorrel, bay, flaxen, and palomino.
💇 Hairstyle options
These horses replace the Turkmen horses and come with 4 hairstyles to choose from: long mane, short mane, no mane and shaggy mane. Only one hairstyle can be chosen for each coat color!
⚙️ Installation instructions
- First install the required script modules and select the correct version for your version of the game
- Enter the RDR2 game directory and create a new folder named LML
- Create a Stream folder within the LML folder and drag all YMT and YTD files here
- Start the game, if everything is OK, you will see the loading bar, and then you can summon new horses through Rampage Trainer
- If the horse is not visible, it may be caused by texture incompatibility or module conflict.
- To replace other horses in the game, just rename the YTM file to the code of the horse you want to replace.
💡 Usage suggestions
It is recommended to use the generator function of Rampage Trainer to summon these beautiful saddle horses and enjoy their elegant performance in the game!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
