AfterdeathRDR2 - Manual Respawn
🎮 Function introduction
This is my first RDR2 mod! Inspired by GTA5 module - Longer Wasted Screen (Afterdeath).
This script allows you to manually control the timing of rebirth after death and observe the wonderful scene of the world continuing to run after the player dies. It is very suitable for recording interesting game videos!
⚙️ Installation method
Simply extract the AfterdeathRDR2.asi and AfterdeathRDR2.ini files to the game directory. ScripthookRDR2 needs to be installed first.
🔧 Configuration instructions
Use any text editor (such as Notepad) to open the AfterdeathRDR2.ini file to configure:
- **The default rebirth key is the J key**, which can be modified to your favorite key in the configuration file
- Optionally enable/disable grayscale filter effect (enabled by default)
⚠️ Notes
- **It is not recommended to use this plugin in any mission! **
- Since the gameplay camera cannot be restored at the moment, the camera will be locked after death
- Forcing the death screen to be disabled when dying in a mission may cause the game to freeze.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
