TheLooker
It saw you.
Plays a sound effect when a Looker pops up from behind a rock.
Comes with a default sound. Drop your own.wav files into the mod's folder to replace it — the mod will pick one at random each time a Looker appears.
Lookers are more common than vanilla by default. Use the Looker Frequency setting to adjust how often they appear.
Manual Installation
- Install BepInEx for PEAK
- Drop TheLooker.dll into BepInEx/plugins/TheLooker/
- Launch the game
- Optionally add your own.wav files to BepInEx/plugins/TheLooker/ to replace the default sound
Configuration
A config file is generated at BepInEx/config/TheLooker.cfg after the first launch.
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Looker Volume | 1.0 | Volume of the sound |
| Looker Sound Range | 150 | Max distance the sound can be heard from (up to 250) |
| Spatial Blend | 0.95 | How 3D the sound is (0 = heard equally everywhere, 1 = full positional audio) |
| Min Repeat Gap | 3.0s | Minimum time before the same Looker can trigger the sound again |
| Looker Frequency | 0.25 | How often Lookers are active. 0 = vanilla (~1 per group), 1 = all active. Takes effect on area load. |
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
