Slightly Casual Debuffs
What is this mod?
A mod that makes debuffs less punishing by tweaking their intensity and duration. This enables relaxed gameplay experience without fully nulling debuffs.
Who is this for?
This mod is for players who find the default debuff system too harsh or want a more casual playthrough with friends.
Features
- Debuff Multiplier: Reduces the intensity of all debuffs, such as poison, cold, and drowsiness.
- Timer Multiplier: Shortens the duration of timed debuffs.
Installation
- Download the ZIP and extract its contents into your game’s BepInEx/plugins folder.
- Ensure you have BepInEx 5 installed.
- Launch the game. The configuration file will be generated in BepInEx/config.
Configuration
| Setting | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| DebuffMultiplier | 0.6 | Multiplier for the intensity of all debuffs. Higher than 1 will make debuffs stronger. |
| TimerMultiplier | 0.65 | Multiplier for the duration of timed debuffs. Higher than 1 will make debuffs longer. |
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
