RopeObserver
When holding the rope roller to release the rope, focus on the lowest point of the rope in the small window that can be placed freely, and see the rope preview, end and teammate positions in real time to determine where to place the rope. You can set the display threshold, retention seconds after placement, window position and size, camera distance and wide angle.
About this mod Machine translation
RopeObserver
Function
When you hold the rope reel and use the roller to release the rope, a small window in the screen will focus on the free end of the rope (the bottom end of the ordinary rope hanging down; the top end of the anti-weight rope floating upward), making it easier to see where the end of the rope falls and where the nearby teammates are, so as to judge how much rope should be placed and where is the best anchor point.
- The small window focuses on the free end of the rope, and the camera falls on the side of the free end away from you and toward you; on the anti-weighted rope, the camera faces the same direction as you (the camera looks forward). The distance is slightly longer and the field of view is wider. You can see the rope, free end and nearby teammates at the same time.
- The small window shows the translucent appearance of the rope itself when the rope is released; the small window automatically closes when the rope is retracted below the threshold.
- After placing the rope, the small window will remain configured for a period of time (default 1.5 seconds) before closing, making it easier to review where the rope was placed.
- The position of the small window can be freely placed: the default is in the lower left corner. Press and hold the drag modifier key (default is right Alt) and drag with the left mouse button to move it to any position. The position will be automatically saved after letting go.
- In the game, you can directly use the direction keys to position the camera in real time: ↑ to zoom in, ↓ to zoom out, ←/→ to move left and right, right Ctrl+↑/↓ to raise or lower; there is also a pair of "surround keys" (not bound by default, need to be set in the configuration) to allow the camera to freely rotate 360° around the rope; the buttons and speed can be changed in the configuration.
- Only works when holding the rope reel and the rope is hanging on the reel, automatically shuts down after putting down the rope, retracting the rope or changing hands, without sending any network data.
How to use
Hold the rope reel and roll the wheel to release the rope when it exceeds the threshold (default 1 meter). A small window will automatically appear. The configuration is in BepInEx/config/RopeObserver.cfg (bilingual in Chinese and English, English by default), and it will take effect after re-entering the game.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
