About this mod Machine translation

PeakRandomizedChaos

PeakRandomizedChaos is a BepInEx random chaos mod for PEAK. It turns the original mountain climbing process into a more unpredictable party gameplay: boxes, bushes, and ordinary drops will be replaced by safe-filtered random items; the host will also trigger various random events at set intervals, such as tornadoes, ticks, bees, tumbleweeds, explosives, zombies, mandrakes, cactus, random item rain, player swap, item swap, state swap, resurrection, mushrooms, morale boost, scorpions, random backpacks, magic bean vines, balloons, cobwebs, anti-ropes, day and night switching, and eruptions.

Current version: 1.1.7

BepInEx GUID:PeakRandomizedChaos

In-game name: PeakRandomizedChaos

Core features

  • Random drops/random boxes: Intercept PEAK's drop pool and generation list, turning boxes, some scene drops and shrub products into random items.
  • Safe item filtering: exclude passports, guide books, cheating/debugging items, point-brushing objects, creatures/event objects that can easily cause network anomalies, and items that are not suitable for ordinary backpack slots.
  • Hanging point protection: Use stricter filtering for special generation locations such as trees, vines, mushrooms, branches, and hanging points to reduce the probability of items getting stuck or abnormally generated.
  • Random event system: The host extracts events at time intervals; the event weight is configurable, and when the weight is 0, the event will not be randomly selected.
  • Prioritize original resources: Pitons, chains, mushrooms, spore clouds, low gravity and other effects are implemented based on original objects and original states as much as possible, so that players without mods installed can also see or experience the main effects.
  • Partial player triggering mechanism: Some events in a multiplayer game will only randomly affect a small number of players, to avoid the larger the number of players, the easier it is for all players to be punished at the same time.
  • In-game settings window: The gear button in the upper right corner and the F8 hotkey can open the settings interface and quickly switch the main switch, random drops, random events and event time ranges.
  • Event interval step button: The minimum/maximum event interval input box in the settings window has - / + buttons to quickly increase or decrease seconds.
  • Online cleaning and protection: When changing scenes, exiting, or passing a section, pending events, temporary generated objects, vines, weather coverage status, etc. will be cleaned up to reduce the impact of residual objects on the next process.
  • Weather configuration retention: Weather-related configuration items are retained in the configuration file, but are turned off by default; it is not recommended for ordinary players to manually turn on weather reservation weights.

What kind of gameplay is suitable for

PeakRandomizedChaos is more suitable for friends to connect, complete life challenges, live broadcast audience highlights and second-week entertainment rounds. You can choose to turn off and turn on random items/effects in the game. It is not a "balance enhancement" module, but makes every game full of variables: good things may suddenly appear, or the rhythm may be disrupted by scorpions, tumbleweeds, balloons, cobwebs, reverse ropes or player swaps.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
