RPG classes for PEAK: the outfit you wear decides your class and gives you a unique starting item with two powers.

About this mod Author’s original text

PeakClasses

Classes for PEAK. What you wear decides who you are on the mountain: put on a full class outfit in the passport and you start every run holding that class's own item, with two powers on it — left button and right button.

No menus, no keybinds to learn. Wear the robe and hat, wake up with the staff.

The five classes

| Class | Outfit | Item | Left button | Right button |

|---|---|---|---|---|

| Wizard | Grey robe, bent pointed hat, white beard | Wizard's Staff | Healing aura and fog immunity for 30s | Breath of vigor: a full extra stamina bar, on you or on the ally you aim at |

| Ranger | Green tunic, leaf tiara, silver fringe | Ranger's Bow | Fires an anti-rope | Fires a normal rope |

| Medic | Red jacket, beanie, goggles | Medic's Hook | Rescue hook, same as the vanilla one | First aid: heals injury, poison and cold on you or on an ally |

| Wind mage | Blue robe, feathered hat, silver hair | Staff of Winds | Wind mode: lifts everyone nearby, no petrification cost | Updraft: launches you upward |

| Pathfinder | Orange vest, hard hat, safety goggles | Pathfinder's Chain Launcher | Chain shot | Warp mushroom: aims and teleports you where it would land |

Every power runs on charges that refill when someone lights a campfire, so a class is strong in a pinch and never infinite. The inventory slot shows them: the lower bar is the left-button power, the upper blue bar the right-button one. An item whose two powers share the same ammo — the bow — shows a single bar.

Notes

The class items never appear in luggage or anywhere on the map. They exist only in the hands of whoever is wearing the outfit.

Everyone in the lobby needs the mod. The items are networked, so a player without it cannot receive them.

Item names and prompts are in English by default. Set Language = pt in the config for Portuguese. Every balance number — charges per biome, gust strength, warp range, heal amounts — is in the config too, so you can tune the classes to your group without touching the code.

Credits

Built on PEAKLib (custom networked items) and More Customizations (the outfits). Cosmetics and item models are original work, generated at runtime — no asset bundle.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
