About this mod Author’s original text
PEAK Death Printer
Print a physical death report every time a player dies in PEAK.
The report currently includes:
- Player username
- Real-world date and time
- Death cause
- A random funny death message
The current version uses GENERAL as the death cause. More specific death causes will be added in a future update.
Installation
- Install the PEAK mod
Install PEAK Death Printer using your preferred mod manager (like r2modman).
After installation, your files will be placed directly into the main plugins root folder:
PEAK/BepInEx/plugins/
The following files must sit directly in that root plugins folder to function:
- com.firren.peakdeathprinter.dll
- death_messages.txt
- printers.txt
Do not delete or rename these files, and do not hide them in subfolders.
- Download the printer program
The printer program is a separate Windows application.
Download PeakDeathPrinter.exe from:
Download PeakDeathPrinter.exe from the GitHub release.
The printer program is a single-file executable, so no additional DLL files are required. You can place the EXE anywhere you want, such as your Desktop.
- Start the printer program
Start:
PeakDeathPrinter.exe
Keep this program running while you play PEAK. The program automatically searches for the PEAK Death Printer mod, tracks down your active profile folder, and reads your text files directly from the plugins root.
It automatically detects printers installed in Windows, including:
- HP printers
- Epson printers
- Canon printers
- Brother printers
- Microsoft Print to PDF
- OneNote
- Other Windows-installed printers
- Select your printer
Start PEAK. Once you are in the game, press:
F8
This opens the PEAK Death Printer menu. Select the printer you want to use. Your selected printer is saved automatically, so you should not need to select it every time. Press Close when finished.
- Play
That's it. Play PEAK normally.
When a player dies:
- PEAK detects the death.
- The mod creates a death report.
- The printer program detects the report.
- The selected Windows printer prints the report.
- The temporary death report is deleted.
🛠️ Customizing Your Death Messages & Printers
To customize your text files, you can find them right inside your main profile folder:
- If Mod Manager / r2modman:
Go to Settings > click Browse Profile Folder > navigate into BepInEx/plugins/ to find and edit your files directly.
- If installing Manually:
Simply extract the files directly into your game's BepInEx/plugins/ directory.
Editing death_messages.txt
You can edit this file to add your own messages! The file uses categories. For example:
[GENERAL]
you suck brochacho.
just delete the game atp.
bro really died.
The mod randomly chooses one of the messages from the selected category. More death categories will be used as specific death-cause detection is added.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
