About this mod Author’s original text
Kikis Chaos Hell
Random chaos for PEAK. Every few seconds the mod rolls one or more chaos events at the scouts - from dynamite rain to tornadoes, zombies and bees.
Who needs it
Only the host. Guests don't need to install anything. As a guest the mod does nothing.
The 21 chaos events
Dynamite Rain · Caldera Hotspot · Banana Rain · Healing Shroom Rain · Tornado · Tumbleweed · Ticks · Balloons · Earthquake · Bridge Collapse · Scoutmaster · Zombies · Bounce Shrooms · Antigravity Fields · Chains · Mandrake Rain · Ghosts · Bees · Treats · Swap Places · Skeleton
Every event has its own tab: Enabled, Weight (how often it is picked), its own amounts and spread, and Allow Simultaneous.
General settings
- Chaos Interval Min / Max (s) - time between two rolls.
- Chaos per Roll Min / Max - how many chaos events start at once.
- Campfire Safe Radius (m) - size of the safe zones (see below).
- Skip Passed Out - passed-out scouts are not targeted.
- Group Radius (m) - scouts closer together than this count as one group (for Zombies and Caldera Hotspot).
All settings can be changed in-game with ModConfig (optional) or in BepInEx/config/kikischaoshell.peak.kch.cfg.
Safe zones
- Campfires: around the campfire of the current section and the previous one nothing happens except Healing Shroom Rain. Chaos that rolls or flies in is removed.
- Peak: once the 5th biome (Kiln or Citadel) is loaded, a Ritual Dagger sacrifice makes the area around the flare box at the peak safe for 2 minutes. Another sacrifice restarts the 2 minutes. A chat line announces the start and the end (needs PeakTextChat).
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
