KickBecomeBonesFix
Kicks punish the kicker: the kicker instantly becomes bones, the kicked player stays in place with fortified milk, and an on-screen notice names the kicker. Community fix for PEAK 2.6.a.
About this mod Machine translation
KickBecomeBonesFix
Kick someone, and YOU become bones. The kicked player does not move an inch.
A community fix and upgrade of KinTheInfinite's original KickBecomeBones for PEAK 2.6.a. The original 0.1.1 silently stopped working after the 2.6.a update; this build fixes it and adds the features the community asked for.
See below for Chinese instructions
Features
- 💀 Kicker instantly dies (becomes bones)
Any player who kicks is immediately killed via the death RPC. This bypasses the
checkpoint interception added in 2.6.a, so the punishment always lands — even
when the kicker holds a checkpoint flag.
- 🛡️ Kicked player stays in place (anti-launch shield)
The kick's ragdoll (RPCA_Fall) and launch force (RPCA_AddForceAtPosition)
are neutralized for the kicked player. Even kick-force mods set to send people
hundreds of meters will not move you. The shield:
- suppresses the ragdoll/force RPCs at the source when the kicker also has this mod,
- otherwise skips them locally and broadcasts the exact opposite force plus
RPCA_UnFall, so clients without the mod also see you stand in place
(at most a tiny stumble on their screen).
- 🥛 Fortified milk for the kicked player
20 seconds of invincibility (Affliction_Invincibility), as in the original.
- 📢 On-screen kick notice
When a kick is detected, a notice pops up (6 seconds, auto fade):
- kicked player's screen:
XXX kick detected! / Enhanced milk protection has been applied (invincible for 20 seconds), and the opponent has turned into a skeleton
- kicker's screen (if they have the mod):
You kicked XXX! Punishment: Turn into a skeleton
Text is rendered with a dynamic OS font (Microsoft YaHei → SimHei → Noto Sans CJK →
Arial fallback chain), so Chinese glyphs always display even though the game's
built-in fonts lack CJK support. Every notice is also written to the BepInEx log.
- 👥 Host does NOT need the mod
The punishment triggers from the kicked player's own client, so it works as long
as the kicked player has this mod installed — no host cooperation required.
Requirements
- BepInExPack_PEAK 5.4.x
- PEAKERRpcInfo 1.1.0 (declared as a hard dependency, auto-installed by mod managers)
Installation
- Install with r2modman Mod Manager on the PEAK community, or
download the zip manually.
- Manual install: extract the zip into your PEAK game folder (the zip contains
BepInEx/plugins...).
- Uninstall the original KinTheInfinite-KickBecomeBones 0.1.1 first if you
have it, to avoid double patches.
Multiplayer notes
- Only players who have this mod installed are shielded. Friends without the mod
will still be launched when THEY get kicked.
- Kicking zombies / creatures still launches them normally — the shield only
protects player characters.
- The kicker dies regardless of who hosts, as long as either the host or the
kicked player has the mod.
Compatibility
- Built against PEAK 2.6.a (Assembly-CSharp.dll build fbeb4128c,
Unity 6000.3.15f1) with BepInEx 5.4.23 and Harmony 2.9.
- Future game updates may change the patched methods again; if it breaks, check
BepInEx/LogOutput.log for Patched... OK lines from this mod.
FAQ
- My screen shows nothing? The detection log line [Kick prompt]... in
BepInEx/LogOutput.log tells you whether the kick was detected. If the line
exists but nothing renders, your screen setup may be unusual (report it).
- The mod manager offers to update to KickBecomeBones 0.1.1? That is the
original broken package — decline.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
