Your teammate has a banana. You have a reaching hand.
Hold right-click and aim at a teammate's held item to take it. You can start reaching before aiming. Release the button before grabbing again.
Little Theater of Play / Co-op mischief
My teammates arrived first, and I followed; I damaged my friend's good intentions and returned them as they were.
You first. I'll catch up. A kind offer, returned to sender.
How to play
- Uses PEAK's secondary-use/reach binding (right mouse button by default), including custom bindings.
- Targets droppable items held from slots 1, 2 or 3, up to 7.5 metres away.
- If you are holding something, your previous item is dropped on the ground first.
- One grab per button hold. Menus, the action wheel, unconsciousness and climbing block activation.
- Only the grabber is intended to need this mod. It uses existing game network messages; no custom mod is required by those messages on teammates' machines.
Beta status and limitations
Version 1.0.7 (documentation update; same gameplay as 1.0.6) passes 70 regression assertions with simulated networking and builds against the installed PEAK assemblies. The author tested 1.0.5 as a guest in a friend's lobby with only the grabber installing the mod: grabbing worked. The new handoff visuals in 1.0.6 and the host-player scenario still need in-game testing.
The transfer now starts near the receiving hand and pauses the temporary item's physics while waiting for the original holder to release it. This aims to remove the visible fall-to-floor step. A native world object is still used for compatibility with unmodded teammates; latency may cause a brief pop or movement. If the transfer fails, normal physics resumes and the item remains available; another player may pick it up first.
If a teammate replaces the same inventory slot while the request is travelling, the replacement item may be dropped. The mod will not automatically pick up an item with a different unique ID. Switching equipment during transfer may also be interrupted. Preventing these races completely would require cooperating logic on the host and item owner.
Installation
Use a -compatible mod manager; the BepInEx dependency will be installed with the mod.
For manual installation, install BepInEx for PEAK and copy plugins/Expelliarmus/Expelliarmus.dll into PEAK/BepInEx/plugins/Expelliarmus. Restart the game after updating.
Chinese description
Hold down the right button and reach out, then aim at the item in your teammate's hand to snatch it; release it to grab it again. Supports discardable items taken out from the 1/2/3 grid, with a maximum distance of 7.5 meters. When you have something in your hand, the original object falls to the ground first.
1.0.5 Tested: You can grab it when you join a friend’s room and only install it yourself. 1.0.6 Move the handover position to your own hand, and pause the falling of the item while waiting for synchronization; resume physical movement and retain the item after failure. The new version's visual effects and homeowner scenes are still to be tested, and may still jump briefly under high latency. When teammates replace the same grid during network transmission, new items may fall to the ground, but items with inconsistent numbers will not be automatically picked up. Switching equipment during transfer may also be interrupted.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
