What this fork improves / What this branch optimizes
English
- Reliable teammate pings: distance UI is created in a Harmony Postfix after the ping exists (Prefix exceptions used to skip distance UI while the vanilla ping still appeared)
- GhostPing compatible: works when GhostPing still spawns a ping without line-of-sight
- Safer UI init: canvas/font creation with try/catch and delayed init if GUIManager is not ready
- Stable multiplayer keys: tracks markers by PhotonView id instead of fragile Character refs
- Skin color fixes: restores readable distance color for vanilla skins; falls back to white for broken mod-skin colors
- Optional short name: ShowPlayerNameShort — Chinese first character / Latin letter / first char
- Distance scaling: text scales down at long range so it covers less of the view
- Bilingual config comments (ZH / EN)
Chinese
- Teammate markers are more stable: create a distance UI in Harmony Postfix after the marker is generated (originally, when the Prefix is thrown incorrectly, it will be swallowed, resulting in only the marker but not the distance)
- Compatible with GhostPing: GhostPing can still generate markers when there is no line of sight, and the distance can be determined
- Safer UI initialization: Canvas/font creation with exception protection, initialization can be delayed when the GUIManager is not ready
- More stable connection: Use PhotonView ID as dictionary key to avoid Character reference exceptions
-Skin color repair: The original skin returns to readable color; when the module skin color is abnormal, it returns to white
- Optional name abbreviation: ShowPlayerNameShort — Chinese initial / Latin letters / initial character
- Long-distance zoom: The farther away the text is, the smaller the text will be, so it will less block the field of view.
- Chinese and English bilingual comments on configuration items

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
