English
BellBeacon adds a tall, color-coded beacon line above every Belltower in PEAK's GLOOM biome.
This makes Belltowers much easier to find, but also reduces the intended exploration difficulty of the GLOOM. Use it with that tradeoff in mind.
Features
- Automatically marks every Belltower in the current map.
- Uses white for unlit towers and purple for lit towers by default.
- Allows beacon height and width to be adjusted while the game is running.
Installation
Install Mod Manager or r2modman, or place BellBeacon.dll in BepInEx/plugins/BellBeacon. BellBeacon requires BepInEx 5.
Configuration
The configuration file is generated at BepInEx/config/com.github.lllei.BellBeacon.cfg.
| Key | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| General.Enabled | true | Shows or hides all Belltower beacons. |
| Visual.Height | 500 | Beacon height in meters (10 to 5000). |
| Visual.Width | 0.8 | Beacon width in meters (0.05 to 20). |
| Colors.Unlit | #FFFFFF | HTML hex color for unlit Belltowers. |
| Colors.Lit | #D57AE6 | HTML hex color for lit Belltowers. |
Height, width, and colors update existing beacons immediately. Six- and eight-digit HTML hex colors are supported. Invalid values are clamped or fall back to the defaults.
Building
Copy PeakGameDir.props.example to PeakGameDir.props and set the PEAK directory, or set PEAK_GAME_DIR.
dotnet build BellBeacon.sln -c Release
dotnet msbuild src\BellBeacon\BellBeacon.csproj -t:Deploy -p:Configuration=Debug
dotnet msbuild src\BellBeacon\BellBeacon.csproj -t:PackageThunderstore -p:Configuration=Release
Normal builds do not write to the game directory. Deploy is explicit. Packaging writes artifacts/lllei-BellBeacon-.zip.
Chinese
BellBeacon displays a tall, status-colored vertical line for each bell tower in PEAK's Foggy Swamp area.
This Mod can help players quickly find the clock tower, but it will also reduce the original difficulty of exploring the fog swamp map. Please use it according to your own play preferences.
Function
- Automatically mark all clock towers in the current map.
- By default, white indicates unlit, and purple indicates lit.
- Supports adjusting vertical bar height and width while the game is running.
Install
Install via Mod Manager or r2modman, or place BellBeacon.dll into BepInEx/plugins/BellBeacon. BellBeacon requires BepInEx 5.
The configuration file is generated in BepInEx/config/com.github.lllei.BellBeacon.cfg. You can turn all markers on or off, and modify vertical bar height, width, and unlit and lit colors. The height defaults to 500 meters and the configurable range is 10–5000 meters; the width defaults to 0.8 meters and the configurable range is 0.05–20 meters. The unlit default color is #FFFFFF, and the lit default color is #D57AE6. Configuration modifications are immediately applied to existing tags.
See the English section for build, deployment and packaging commands. A normal build will not write to the game directory and will only be deployed if Deploy is explicitly executed.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
