hint:

  • Search by mod name and author name by default
  • You can search for specific names, authors or tags:
  • `a:bub` searches for mods whose author names contain "bub", or use `-a:bub` to exclude them
  • `n:super` searches for Mods whose mod names contain "super", or use `-n:super` to exclude them
  • `t:game` searches for Mods whose tags contain "game", or use `-t:game` to exclude them
  • Version updates are checked every 30 minutes, but you need to restart the software to get updates
  • Tip: Sometimes the latest version is built for the latest game version (such as beta version), please update with caution
  • When you open the software, the missing Mods will be displayed first, followed by the installed Mods.
  • Overflow menu has more functions, such as viewing changelog, description and homepage
  • When you update a mod using ModFinder, you can revert to a previous version by opening the overflow menu and selecting "Rollback"

Developer Guide

Please refer to the source project:

troubleshooting

  • Please make sure you have UnityModManager installed
  • Run the manager and initialize it for Righteous Wrath
  • Please make sure you have .NET Desktop Runtime 5.0 or higher installed

*.NET 6.0 and .NET 7.0 should also work. If not, please use the link above to install version 5.0.

*.NET 5.0 is not the same thing as .NET Runtime 5. .NET Desktop Runtime 5.0; if you think you have installed .NET but still can't run it, please try to install it from the above link

  • Try running as administrator
  • Make sure it is not blocked by anti-virus software
  • Some anti-virus software will be marked as Trojan software
  • ModFinder sends a request to GitHub to download the mod metadata and the mod itself
  • ModFinder also writes files (logs) and deletes, moves and decompresses files related to mods
  • The changelog includes a SHA1 hash that you can use to verify your download (note: the translated version does not include this hash)
  • Below are the scan results of v1.1 on: VirusTotal (Note: This is the scan result of the source mod)
  • Submit a question or ask for help on Discord
  • Share your log file: `%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Modfinder\Log.txt`

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
