Details
You can switch between First Person and Third Person (vanilla) view with a custom keybind or with Outward Configuration Manager. \
You can also tune most parameters with Outward Configuration Manager. \
The view point is tuned close to the character head position. \
When you rotate the camera your character turns accordingly. \
When you move backward or laterally without a target, the behaviour is the same as with a target. \
Near clipping plane is tuned dynamically to optimize both vision and immersion. \
Bow zoom offset is tuned to be more immersive. \
Dialogue offset is deactivated.
Limitations
The game was not made for first person gameplay. Use it at your own risks. \
You may even get your torches, shields and weapons to hide part of the view. \
Especially for big shields, this is subjectively immersive and/or bothering. \
Tuning was done to avoid near clipping plane visibility problems but you may still meet some: \
e.g. with big hats like the Bird or Scarlet Masks when walking backward along a wall. \
e.g. with long sword in hands. \
You can activate/deactivate the mod from existing save.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
