Character Sidebar
Adds a persistent right-side panel showing the active character's traits (split
into established and training), skills (split into learned and training), and
active conditions (with rising/falling arrows). Hover over any row for its
description.
Toggle it open/closed with the little stats tab on the right hand side.
The panel sizes itself around the MegaTooltip in real time and will collapse
away entirely during menus, fullscreen terminals and plot readouts, and can
fold itself away to its side tab while you're wearing a pressure/EVA helmet
(MinimiseWithHelmet).
Interoperable with the companion Helmet HUD mod: if it's installed,
MinimiseWithHelmet defaults on so the panel steps aside for the in-visor
readout automatically. Works standalone either way.
Install
Click Install Mod Manager (r2modman) — BepInEx is set up
automatically. Or install manually by dropping OstranautsSidebar.dll into
BepInEx/plugins.
Also available on the
Steam Workshop.
Config
Located at BepInEx/config/com.ostranauts.sidebar.cfg you can adjust panel
width, UI scale, start visibility, and HideWithHelmet / MinimiseWithHelmet
if you'd rather the panel drop or fold away while suited up (see above for
MinimiseWithHelmet's default).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
