Module introduction
This is a set of ultimate Engine.ini optimization configuration that has been iteratively verified in more than 40 UE5 games and is specially customized for "NTE". The goal is to remove most lags, improve CPU/GPU/memory performance and stability, reduce input latency, and improve picture clarity—all without sacrificing image quality.
Features
- **Anti-stuck optimization**: Reduce shader compilation stutters and running frame drops
- **Improved picture clarity**: Optimized film grain, motion blur, and removed Chromatic Aberration
- **DLSS/FSR Optimization**: Reduce ghosting and flickering caused by oversampling and anti-aliasing
- **Latency Reduction**: Improved CPU/GPU synchronization, reduced input lag
- **Dual versions available**: VRR version (supports G-Sync/Freesync) and No VRR version (no variable refresh rate)
Installation method
- Start the game at least once and then close it
- Download the ZIP of the corresponding version (VRR or No VRR) and unzip it to get `Engine.ini`
- Press `Win+R`, enter `%localappdata%\HT\Saved_Global\Config\Windows` and press Enter
- Paste and replace `Engine.ini` into the folder
- Right-click `Engine.ini` → Properties → Check **Read-only** → OK
Notes
- VRR version available for users who have turned on G-Sync/Freesync in NVIDIA Control Panel and Monitor
- Users who do not enable variable refresh rate should use the No VRR version.
- Do not use it at the same time with other optimization Mods (other types of Mods will not be affected)
- To uninstall, just delete the modified `Engine.ini`, and the game will automatically restore the default configuration next time you start it.
- For detailed descriptions of each optimization, please view the author's optimization description table
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
