⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE

**Not suitable for normal gameplay**

Injected textures disappear when you leave the current map. **This is an unfixable issue** and is due to the way the game handles texture injection using Special K.

This means there is no point in trying to play through the game with this mod. It's mainly used for taking beautiful screenshots, like this:

🌨️ Coverage area

This mod covers the following areas:

• village
• Northern Plains
• Southern Plains
• Eastern roads
• Kaine's house (but not the rest of the nest)
• Mythical Forest

Other areas *might* work, but haven't been tested yet.

📥 Installation Guide

(Based on the Gothkaine mod's guide)

**1. Download and install Special K locally**

• Just download the latest version
• For step 5 in the tutorial: Nier clone uses 64-bit executable and DirectX 11 API
• For step 7: Rename the DLL file to d3d11.dll, dxgi.dll will not work

**2. Download module file**

• Locate the game files location (same location where d3d11.dll was placed previously)
• Place texture folder in SK_Res\inject\textures
• If folders are missing, create them

**3. Activate the module**

• Launch the game and load the save file
• **Go to the area where you plan to use the mod and **press **CTRL-SHIFT-BACKSPACE** to open the SpecialK menu
• Click "Render Mod Tools" and then click **"Reload All Injected Textures"**

**Note:**

• "Reload All Injected Textures" should be next to "Clear Debug"
• If you can't see the button, you can drag the small triangle in the lower right corner of the window to resize the window
• If you see the message "The game is not tracking texture memory correctly", just restart the game

• Create unique game graphics
• Experience the game world with different seasonal atmospheres
